Ironhearth, wood burning multifuel range-cooker, originally launched in 2004 to celebrate 150 years of ESSE. This model is a stove and a range cooker in one, combining the best of our two main product ranges.

Is esse a good stove?

With its roots in tradition Esse cookers are durable and long lasting, but the ethos of Esse is to evolve, creating new innovations as time goes on! A beautiful centrepiece to any room, an Esse is a solid, loyal cooker for any homeowner.

Esse solid fuel stoves are also known as some of the cleanest-burning appliances in the world, beating even the toughest emissions standards, thanks to their patented twin catalytic combustion technology. In 2017, Esse announced that all stoves will be manufactured for use in Clean Air Zones as defined by DEFRA.

The Ironheart can be personalised with a range of accessories and colour options including plate warming cupboard, pan drawer, splash back, matt painted or gloss enamelled top casting, satin or shiny bolster covers and a choice of charcoal (standard), black or green matt paint finishes.
The Ironheartwood burning multifuel range-cooker, burns either wood or mineral based solid fuel and gives out up to 9.7kW/h depending on fuel type and settings (2.6kW/h to water and 8kW/h to space heat output – domestic hot water model).

Enjoy watching the flames leap and flicker through the large clear glass window while it heats and cooks.

Ironheart has convection panels that radiate warmth like a wood-burning stove. The oven has an almost 50 litre capacity, and you can also cook directly in the firebox. With the “dog bone” hotplate comfortably able to take up to six pans, the Ironheart is equipped to bring out the very best in creative cooks.
